You might remember about the Lily Drones, don’t you? Well, that were the type of drones, a person could just launch by throwing in the air. The drones would then follow the user gallivanting around Dolores Park. It was the startup company which couldn’t stand its crowdfunding campaign and shut down last year, in January. But now these drones are kind of available once again.
The new drones are called to be the Lily Next-Gen. As far as its looks are concerned, it looks pretty much like the original one. The color scheme is blue and black, and the camera has a smiling face around it. This drone is certainly not the originally promised one. It’s more like the Lily name being pasted on to another drone.
The Lily Brand Rights:
The brand rights of the Lily were sold to Mota Group in January. The selling price of the rights were $300,000. The 70 prototypes and the company patents of the unlaunched drone were bought by another company called, LR Acquisitions. The Forbes has also reported that GoPro even bid $250,000 for it.
Lily New Drone Features:
Mota has launched the original website of lily at lily.camera. This new drone has been positioned as a successor to the original one. The features that are included in this drone are 4K video, foldable design and most importantly the “follow-me” function.
