YouTube was scheduled to turn off on Fire TV before 1st January 2018. But it is quite a surprise to see that it has been removed 4 days earlier than the schedule.According to a report published by Fast Company, Amazon Fire TV is now redirecting users to Silk Browser or Firefox Browser, to access YouTube. Some screenshots of the redirection messages were also shared in this regard.

What YouTube Said?

Originally YouTube said that it will not remove its app from Amazon Fire TV until January, 1st 2018. But we have seen that it is already gone from the Amazon. It can either be Amazon or Google behind the removal of the YouTube app from the streaming box.

Statement of the Spokesperson

After the removal of YouTube from Amazon, the company hasn’t made any comment at all. So, it’s yet not clear if YouTube itself pulled off its app, or it was someone else involved in it.The Amazon Spokesperson said that: “YouTube and millions of other websites are accessible by using a web browser like Firefox or Silk on Fire TV,”
