WhatsApp is about to launch peer to peer payment system in India

India is the largest market for WhatsApp with about 200 Million users. So WhatsApp is about to introduce a peer to peer payment system in India in next 6 months.The Ken recently reported that WhatsApp is planning to use UPI, which is a cross-bank payment system. It is being backed by the Government to start the payment system between users in around next 6 months.

WhatsApp Statement About Payment System:

The recent statement of the WhatsApp was: “India is an important country for WhatsApp, and we’re understanding how we can contribute more to the vision of Digital India. We’re exploring how we might work with companies that share this vision and continuing to listen closely to feedback from our users”.

A Big Change:

The introduction of the payment method in the WhatsApp will bring a big change in the world, although it already claims to have one Billion active users. It will make its existence, even stronger and will take it further beyond as compared to its competitors.

Meeting With the Indian IT Minister:

In the meeting held with the IT minister of India in February, the WhatsApp co-founder “Brain Acton” said that it is still in the early stage. However, they are looking at how they can induct the payment system in WhatsApp.

Rumors Gone True:

Facebook added the payment system in its messenger and there were a lot of rumors that the next step is going to be the induction of payment system in WhatsApp. But that rumor seems to be turning right and true.
