Owned by the Alphabet, Nest has taken some choices in the IoT space. These choices are pretty safe ones which will be helpful in building products which rely on the internet connectedness to function. Nest Learning Thermostat, which is their most recognizable product hasn’t got any cosmetic upgrades since it was launched six years ago. It definitely received some tweaks in the hardware to make the setup and connection even simpler.

Images Leaked by Gadget Leaker “Evan Blass”

An image was leaked by the gadget leaker, Evan Blass. This image suggests that there is a new thermostat product of Nest on the way. But it is yet unclear if it is going to be the existing hardware update or the lower-cost lite version which would be released. Bloomberg wrote in the month March, “Nest is building a low-cost thermostat which would cost below $200”. Whereas, the current version of the Nest Thermostat costs you $249.

Good Deal for Customers

In the leaked image, it seems like Nest Thermostat has moved from metal and glass design to a plastic body that doesn’t have a visible LCD display. It is going to be a good deal for the cost conscious and those customers who are not willing to make their houses look like an Apple Store.
