BAMTech Stake:
The news about ditching Netflix came as part of the takeover news. To acquire another 42% of the BAMTech, Disney is going to pay $1.48 billion. BAMTech is a company, which is existing under the umbrella of Major League Baseball.
Last year, Netflix bought the 33% of stakes from BAMTech. Now it’s going to buy another 42%, which will help it to gain control of the major part of BAMTech’s stakes.
Disney’s ESPN-Branded Streaming Service:
Early next year, Disney is planning to launch its own ESPN-branded streaming service. The rebuild version of the ESPN app will be launched and it will be hosting the streams from MLB, NHL, MLS and many other college sports network.
