If you were getting used to of the Netflix for all the Disney stuff, then there is a bad news for you. Disney is going to ditch Netflix and start its own streaming service soon.The after plans have been announced by Disney about the distribution agreement with Netflix, which will end in 2019. It has revealed that, it’s going to launch its own streaming platform till then. So, after the end of the agreement in 2019, Disney would be distributing and streaming its stuff through its own streaming platform.

BAMTech Stake:

The news about ditching Netflix came as part of the takeover news. To acquire another 42% of the BAMTech, Disney is going to pay $1.48 billion. BAMTech is a company, which is existing under the umbrella of Major League Baseball. Last year, Netflix bought the 33% of stakes from BAMTech. Now it’s going to buy another 42%, which will help it to gain control of the major part of BAMTech’s stakes.

Disney’s ESPN-Branded Streaming Service:

Early next year, Disney is planning to launch its own ESPN-branded streaming service. The rebuild version of the ESPN app will be launched and it will be hosting the streams from MLB, NHL, MLS and many other college sports network.
