You can’t fly your drone in New Jersey if you are drunk. Yes, that’s true. Drunk droning is officially banned in New Jersey now. This past Monday the new Law Bill was signed by the Gov. Chris Christie. The new law stated that you are not allowed anymore to fly drones while you are under the influence of Alcohol, Narcotics or any other drug.This new law follows similar regulations as the state’s drunken car driving law. This means that the drone flyers are not allowed to fly drones if their blood contains alcohol content more than 0.08 percent. The rule violators are going to face six months in prison and a $1000 fine as well.

New Jersey-First State to Ban Drunken Droning

New Jersey is the first state that has banned drunk droning. Though it isn’t going to be the last state to do so, there are at least 38 other states that are considering to ban drunk droning. The new law is going to regulate in other cities as well because, by 2018, the sale of drones is expected to reach 3.7 million units. That is a 20 percent increase as compared to last year sales.

Drone Accidents in the USA

Relatively minimal drone accidents occur in the US, but still, these precautionary steps are being taken to control the accidents in future. One of the reasons, all these regulations have been implemented are because of the increased sale of these drones over last some years.
