German dating app Lovoo is acquired by The Meet Group for $70M

Most of you would’ve never heard about the dating app Lovoo because it is a German dating app basically. It is mostly used in the countries, such as Germany, Switzerland and Austria. This app is the number one dating app in terms of app store downloads, in these three countries. In South Europe, it is in the list of the top 3 of the dating apps, in the Italy, Spain and France.

Lovoo is Acquired Now

This dating app is now acquired by The Meet Group, which already owns a lot of other dating properties. The $70 million price was paid in cash, inclusive of a $5 million contingent earn-out. It has been announced by The Meet Group that Lovoo has a revenue of $32.4 million. The total revenue is made by, “48% of the subscriptions, 24% of the In-app Purchases and 28% of the Ads”. The Lovoo app has 5 million active users on a monthly basis. Total 47,000 registrations are done globally on a daily basis. Whereas, 97 full time employees are spread across Dresden and Berlin.
