Nintendo is planning to bring one of its latest IPs to the smartphones as well. You know what? It’s the bigger and renowned one, called Mario Kart. It is set to release anytime during the new financial year. This means it could arrive anytime between April 2018 and March 2019. All this depends on how swiftly Nintendo works on it to make it available for the smartphones.There are no details available regarding the availability of Mario Kart Tour other than its existence. Mario Kart is one of the biggest franchises of Nintendo. The company recently just announced that it had sold 14.86 Switch Consoles. Apart from that half as many copies of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe have also been sold. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was further able to sell 8 million copies even on the Wii U.
Nintendo’s Planning for Smartphone Launches
Nintendo is planning to launch more mobile titles in the future. By 2017, the company was planning to release five smartphone games. The only games that Nintendo was able to launch were Super Mario Run, Fire Emblem Heroes, Animal Crossing, Pocket Camp and ill-fated Miitomo social app. However, The Wall Street Journal reported Nintendo’s working on the Legend of Zelda mobile title as well.
