Yes! That’s true….! The Samsung Galaxy S7 has not been able to win the best Smartphone award at the MWC 2017. Although there was a misleading press release from the Samsung, which claimed that it’s S7 Smartphone has just won the award. However, the odds happened against it and the S7 couldn’t succeed in winning the award.
The GSMA is an organization which has been hosting an award ceremony every year for the best Smartphone of the year. This year, along with iPhone 7 Plus, Huawei P9 and many others, the Samsung Galaxy S7 was also nominated to be considered in the award show. However, it couldn’t succeed in winning the Best Smartphone award, which proved something very shocking and hard to believe team Samsung.
But here’s what was claimed in the Press Release from Samsung:
It stated “The Galaxy S7 Named Best Smartphone at MWC 2017” and was said in a different way: “Our Terrible showing at the MWC 2017; Samsung S7 is the best phone here!”
This was quite a misleading and confusing statement from one of the world’s well-known Smartphone brand and there were many from the audience who didn’t took long in criticizing Samsung for this false claim. In this year MWC the Samsung didn’t launched any Smartphone for competition, they stated that, they are waiting till the end of March; they will then introduce their new S8, in an event that will be held in New York.
Many of the followers of Samsung were of the view that a company like Samsung shouldn’t be releasing such a confusing and misleading statement. In fact, it has its own image and impact all around the world, so it really don’t need to participate in the awards ceremonies like the MWC. Instead, it can even organize its own trade show or ceremonies for new launches, while there were others who classified this as a normal marketing tactic.
