The mobile interface changes of Skype were under testing phase for the desktop versions for a while now. These changes were rolled over to the Mac and Windows users today. Cloud Based Sharing:

Skype is now facilitated a cloud-based sharing service. With this feature you can share files, photos and videos more conveniently. The drag and drop feature still works for this purpose.

Cross Device Compatibility:

The Skype also has the cross device compatibility feature. You can view and respond to your Skype messages and calls from any device, where your Skype is being installed. So that helps you stay connected to the people from more conveniently from anywhere around the world.
