Slack is raising a $250 million round at $5 billion valuation

In a valuation of $5 billion, Slack which is a messaging service enterprise has raised $250 million. It has also been revealed that SoftBank, Accel Partners and some other existing investors have also participated in this round of funding.
There were also some reports of the acquisition of the Slack. But the direct sources have revealed that the deal hasn’t happened because of the failure of a final deal from both the parties, regarding the acquisition.
Some of the investors yet believe that the “Exit” potential of the Slack is very strong. Over $500 million has been disclosed in the equity funding so far. Whereas, the valuation of the $5 billion means that the value of the Slack will go significantly higher.
