There is far more things than a product showcase concern with Mobile World Congress. The event is just a snapshot to demonstrate where the smartphone industry is currently standing, while with Consumer Electronic Show, there will be a bit of the preview available for the year.
Some of the features were hard to be noticed, although 5G was getting attention while no one was still not sure what that mean. Auto companies have made contributions at the show that will make them participate in CES. The fact that Retro phones are in operation now and one day everyone will be asking for.

There were also some more things to be noted.

The industry has seemingly already moved on from the Note 7: While before my flight from Spain yesterday, I had two conversations, with a cab driver and a woman behind the front counter of the airport respectively. Both of them come with Galaxy Note 7. That was same amount to what I have been discussed the whole week in MWC.

At the beginning of their press conference, Samsung refer their sudden failure as CES inadequate example with presenting a deaf-and-dump video of their own testing facility by O’ Jays that was set to “Give the people what they want”. On the other hand, LG also explore its careful battery testing and mention planning next for overcoming the accidental contact of those positive and negative terminals of battery that was exactly the problem with Samsung Note as well.

Samsung once again made reference to the debacle at the beginning of its press conference, repeating it CES apology along with a somewhat tone-deaf video of the company’s super sexy testing facility set to “Give the People What They Want” by the O’ Jays. It was a weird choice. LG meanwhile, discussed its rigorous battery safety testing and increased walling to protect accidental contact between positive and negative charges – precisely the problem Samsung encountered with the Note.

It was an appealing slight hit on South Korean manufacturer, but still companies were following Samsung in the first MWC since failure of Note 7. However, this can’t be applied as well for Barcelona’s cab drivers.

The whole excitement for smartwatch has ended while companies are not been running back to be on their track for smartwatch again. CES doesn’t have enough announcements for this category, while Huawei had launched one at MWC this week. Without been a reason to be surprised, all the brands are extremely careful because sales are decreased in amount to the most maximum level.

Earlier this month, the introduction of Android Wear 2.0 didn’t take in enough extra confidence because Huawei is now the next company who adopted the wearable OS with a new hardware piece. Probably this is the confirmation of last day’s IDC report the whole wearable industry is passing away, while just like a warning of bad weather, this year’s MWC is not looking confident enough to move forward.

Smartphone manufacturers are gambling higher on cameras:

Android phone manufacturers are always in try to consider themselves distinctive from the group that has continuously give rise to the idea of mobile glasses weapons race. Recently, phone cameras are acting as the primary battlefield that is used to undertake that war. This might not the reason to be surprised because Sony refers it in its press event. Additionally, it must be ensured to incorporate in your own device before if presenting camera technology to the market.

Oppo that is the top smartphone maker at China is also denying a device that is launched in the recommendation of a dummy sample of its new camera zoom technology. In LG’s decision of going with a new aspect ratio, photography was one of the driving factors that can allow users for shooting and previewing square photos on the same time.

HDR is the new 4K: That’s pretty much it.

Showing prototypes in case if everything else fails:

The new announcement made by Oppo was technology still continue in a black box. Ditto for ZTE whose biggest reveal was simply the name Gigabit Phone was the closest proof to the concept as compare to everything else that is lead up to 5G that is confusing and difficult to be pronounced, 5uper Generation.

Motorola while announcing their new G5 handset vanish their confidence with the review of samples.
