It has been announced recently by Facebook that it has been able to put a break on the ‘Sophisticated’ ‘Coordinated Operation’ which was spamming the site for almost 6 months.
The “inauthentic likes” were more likely coming from the accounts of Bangladesh, KSA and Indonesia; the recent Facebook Blog revealed. It was creating issue for the Facebook and was narrowing it down a great deal.
The Recent Release also said that: “The pages with more than 10,000 like would see a significant drop down after the removal of the spam likes and accounts”. The drop though, was suggested to be around 3%.
There is no doubt that it is a great news for all of us, as per the spamming and fake accounts/likes are concerned. That has been the biggest success of the Facebook to successfully cope with this spamming after the struggle of 6 months.
The effects of this Combat against the spamming are really good to save us from future spam likes and pages. But along that it has put significant drop down in the likes of some of the pages which they might consider as a sit back. But in my point of view now the things will be genuine and spam free so that would show the real fact and figures about the posts and pages which would be really good.
