You can now instantly switch between apps for the Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram. Now they all are testing a feature which would be showing you notifications from the other two apps. And with only one click, you would be able to switch from one app to another.
Notification can be seen as Red Jewel Spot:
That’s how the engagement between these cross apps will increase a great deal. While you are using one particular app, it will be showing you the notifications of the other app in the form of a jewel spot. So you would never miss an update from other apps.If you missed an alert and didn’t notice it due to some reason, then the red jewel mark will still show. This will be an indication that you have a notification on your other app which is still supposed to be seen by you.

The Facebook confirmed this feature and recently released following statement.“We are conducting a very small test to make it easier for people to discover and connect with the people and things they care about. We’re exploring ways to help people switch more easily between their Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram accounts.”
