Toyota Flying Car Takes a Tentative Test Flight

These days Toyota is working on the development of the flying car with a single driver. The aim is to make these cars fly during the Olympic Games 2020 in Tokyo. The car is supposed to be able to smoothly fly in the skies and deliver the Olympic Torch to officially open the games.

The First Test Flight:

The project is still under development and some days ago, the car was tested for the first time. We can clearly see in the video that it does make an attempt to fly in the air to the head height, then it suddenly comes back down to the earth.  

Toyota Invested $400,000:

This car is under development via the partnership with Cartivator Resource Management which is a small tech company. Toyota has invested around $400,000 into this company to help in bringing this project to life. Near the Toyota own home base, the test flight was initiated in Japan.

Toyota’s Future Vehicles Vision:

Apart from this, Toyota is also trying to explore a range of new tech and transportation options. This includes some Luxury yachts which will be developed under its Lexus brand. The company is also more of focused on the energy efficient electric vehicles.

Next Step in the Flying Car Project:

The next step in this project would be to refine and improve the design of the flying car with the new money that’s being invested by Toyota. It is willing to prepare the car so it can carry a pilot in it and make it functioning completely till the Olympic 2020, which are supposed to be held in Tokyo.
