The executive of the Uber has been fired after obtaining the medical reports of a female, who was raped during her ride in Uber car in India. The executive, Eric Alexander of the Uber was serving as a President for the company’s business in Asia Pacific.

A Lady said to be Assaulted and Raped:

A 26-year old lady was the victim of the assault and rape in this case which happened in Delhi in 2014, when she was using Uber services for a ride. After this shameful accident, the Uber services were banned immediately for some months in India. Later the ban was lifted. However the driver involved in the rape was arrested and prisoned for this accident.

Uber Initial Security Claims:

At the beginning the company stated that it would keep working with the Government, community and the technology industry to ensure that Uber is safer for the ride. But it failed to do so because the rape cases have been so high in India, it effected the Uber ride service also. It is a real shame for India though.

The Medical Reports:

Alexander, the executive of the Uber moved to India to collect the medical reports of the victim. He later on shared them with the CEO Travis Kalanick and the SVP Emil Michael. They later on come up with a conclusion that their competitor “Ola” was behind this incident who wanted to damage the reputation of the Uber. Further Notes on this Report are: Some Uber staffers who were told about the medical report by them were disturbed to hear the executives were considering the scenario, based on their reading of the medical report, that the woman’s story was not true. “Travis never should have looked at the report and he should have fired him immediately,” said one executive of Alexander.
