After seeing the development projects of the Amazon, American cable telecommunications company, Charter was interested in doing a joint venture. Following the footsteps of Charter, another digital cable television company in the US, Cox also showed interest in doing a collaboration.

Amazon charges reference fees for the registration of users on its website. According to Wall Street journal report, “60% of Amazon users reported an excellent experience, while only 2% users reported a poor experience”.

Amazon had the chance to sell its cable TV along with its products. They had the possibility to sell the Comcast’s cable service on its website. But, the company then decided not to launch the cable TV service.
