YouTube has shared its new metrics at VidCon this year. These metrics clearly show how much it is dominating the world right now in mobile video usage. The metrics also show that YouTube is quickly gaining a lot of viewers on TVs.

1.5 Billion Active Users Using YouTube:

There was a highlight in the facts shared, and it was the 1.5 billion active users visiting the website every month. This is quite a good and big number. However, there are still some users who are reported to be using YouTube without logging-in through their email accounts. It was also revealed in the facts and report that the YouTube site was visited by 1 Billion active users in 2013. But these were the overall users, which included the logged-in and without login users.

Total Time Spent Per Day By an Active User on YouTube:

Talking about the logged-in users, they are the ones who use to spend more than one hour per day on the site to watch videos through their mobile devices. This number and browsing time per day clearly indicates the popularity of the mobile videos in this era.

YouTube CEO, Susan Wojcicki:

The CEO of YouTube Susan Wojcicki said: “When we compare that [metric] to TV, people - in some countries like the U.S. - watch up to four hours per day, so we think there’s lots of room to get people to watch even more YouTube,” The company also said that TV screens are the fastest growing consumption medium for them. It has been able to grow 90% year by year. So quite clearly YouTube is dominating the world and has been able to make some good impact all around.
